Clarkesville, GA – Grace Calvary Episcopal Church is the oldest church building in Habersham County, and the second oldest Episcopal Church in the state of Georgia! Only Christ Church in Savannah is older. I had an opportunity to visit this church last year and learn about it’s unique features.
LaGrange, GA – Visiting Hills and Dales Estate has been on the list for quite a while, and I finally got to visit the 13,000 SF mansion and surrounding gardens yesterday! Designed by noted architect Neel Reid, this home is a special one to visit.
Forsyth, GA – Monroe County – Looking at the antebellum Willingham House, I kept thinking something was different about it’s look. It does not face the street. That got me curious so did some digging to learn a little more about this home.
Quitman, GA – Brooks County – The 1907 William Webster Walker House was designed by Israel Boyd for the Walker family. This large home housed the family of one of Quitman’s leading citizens, with many accomplishments throughout the years. The more I read, the more interesting it became!
Druid Hills Neighborhood, Atlanta – “Boxwood” is one of my favorite homes in Druid Hills. Built in 1912, it is one of the first grand estates built in the neighborhood.
